Branded Beginnings

So I'm embarking on an exciting adventure to close out 2016. Re-Branding one of T.Scherber's client custom builders.

I've spent the last year pulling up on their site's to admire their work but truth be told I'd get distracted by the outdated logo on their site sign. There was a huge dis-connect between the branding and the actual finished product.

I know that is true for many of you. The work speaks for itself right? So I've got to keep working and ignore my brand right? WRONG! Your Brand confirms who you are, the work you do, and is the first, and unfortunately at times the last, impression you give your clients. Hands down the key to T.Scherber's quick success in the industry was clean, concise, client centric branding that armed me to sell without any questions.

An impeccable brand wraps a warm blanket around your client and compels them to sit back, relax, and trust your work.

OK you get it. This builder gets it. You need a new brand. Where do you start? Of course you find an amazing graphic designer that you jive with (J.Kilmer is mine) and start a logo inspiration board on pinterest (here's mine). More importantly you start defining every detail of who you are, the services you provide, and why you do what you do, in a way that consistently thinks about your client.

Pull out your pencils and start writing. While you're at it research others in your field. What are they saying? Research your clients. What are they looking for?

Stay tuned for the next steps on the Beginning of Branding and watch out for my designers guest post on what she needs to best create your Brand!

Only the Brave! XO!!
